SJ TRAIL SERIES
We are proud to present Atlantic Canada's first trail running series! This series of trail running events includes all five of our races that are held from May to November. No sign up required! You are automatically added to the race series as soon as you complete a SJTR race ahead of the cutoff time, if applicable.

THE NITTY GRITTY OF THE SJ TRAIL SERIES

PRO TIP: For each race in which you register, please register using the identical name. If, for example, Pat Smith registered for one race using the name “Pat Smith” and registered for another race using the name “Patricia Smith” or “P Smith”, our point calculator will not pick that up as being the same person. It is also important to ensure your Race Roster profile is updated with your correct birthday.
POINT DISTRIBUTION
Each participant who completes the distance before the cutoff will be awarded points based on their finishing time relative to the 1st-place finisher’s time, plus:
-
1 distance point per KM traveled
-
75 bonus points for those who do 4 of the 5 events
-
150 bonus points for those who do all 5 events
SPECIAL NOTES
-
Rompin’ Rockwood, East Coast Beast Coast, Poley Peak Pursuit, and Bootstrap Boogie: The distance points are calculated by the distances advertised for each race (Example: Rompin’ Rockwood 10km participants will get 10 extra points, 50km participants will get 50 extra points, etc.)
-
Loonie Loops: The distance points are calculated by # of laps x 3.1kms. (Example: 10 laps = 31kms, which equals 31 bonus points)
-
The time limit for points is equal to the cut-off time, if applicable. You are responsible for knowing the cut-off time prior to the event. An entrant who does not complete the distance within the time limit for points will not be awarded points, and will be listed as a DNF in the results.
-
Errors in race results can happen, which could affect point calculations. If you think there is an error in a race result, please notify the race director within 7 days of the completion of the race. Errors in race results that are not reported within 7 days of completion of the race might not be corrected.
-
For each race in which you register, please register using the identical name. If, for example, Pat Smith registered for one race using the name “Pat Smith” and registered for another race using the name “Patricia Smith” or “P Smith”, we might not know it is the same person; we might calculate a separate series standing for each name.
